It is said that the stonework box is a gift presented only to the most respected persons by Philippine people. It is 16 centimeters long, 9.5 centimeters wide and 5.5 centimeters high. Conveying the gifts, Jose de Venecia, head of the delegation of the Congress of the Republic of the Philippines that visited the DPRK in August 1990, said; "Our President expressed her regret at failing to visit the DPRK because of the complicated situation of the country and asked me to convey the gifts to leader Kim Jong Iltogether with her best wishes for his good health during my visit to Korea. And she said it was her great honour to present her simple gifts to Kim Jong Il."
