KH. Abdur Rahman dilahirkan dan dibesarkan di kampung Suburan Desa Mranggen Kecamatan Mranggen Kabupaten Demak pada tahun 1872 Masehi, adalah putra dari seorang guru ngaji yang sholih yaitu KH. Qoshidil Haq bin Abdullah Muhajir. Selain mengajar juga berkebun dan menyewakan sebagian rumahnya untuk penginapan para pedagang luar kota.
