bearstudy's video: Wild Bear shuts door upon request By Susan Kehoe

@Wild Bear shuts door upon request. By Susan Kehoe
As written by Dr. Lynn Rogers in the update here: https://bit.ly/3ZFoVvB "A highlight a couple days ago was catching up on the phone with Sue Kehoe, the bear lady in New Jersey who has loved bears for decades. I was thanking her for referring a film-maker to me for a possible chance to educate beyond the usual. While we were talking, a visitor stopped by to see her. Bears there have much shorter denning periods. It was his first visit of the year. When he stepped in, Sue was overjoyed that he had made it through another hunting season. But she was busy on the phone, so she asked him to close the door, quickly grabbing a video camera to let me see how well he minds, which he did. This one has to go in the book—maybe with a QR code so readers can see the half-minute video. The publisher specializes in including QR codes so readers can see and hear more. Have the sound on so you can hear her excited tone when he complied. He only has that relationship with her at her house." ~~~~~ Visit http://www.bear.org and http://www.bearstudy.org to learn more about the research and the bears who are part of it. His work has been recognized as one of the four major studies of large mammals in the world. Using trust rather than traps and tranquilizers, he conducted the longest, most detailed study of black bear behavior and ecology ever done. A focus is on reducing bear-human conflict. He shares information with the public through publications, lectures, field courses, the Internet (bear.org and bearstudy.org), TV documentaries, and the North American Bear Center. The Center is dedicated to advancing the long-term survival of bear populations by replacing misconceptions with facts. Many people say these nonprofit organizations have changed their lives by giving them a better understanding about black bears and making it possible for them to fully enjoy living and hiking in bear habitat.
