Most of the difficulty here is in the form of the offroad sections. The first two tracks are heavily reliant on getting speed items to get through the shallow water, and even if you manage to get through until the end, the final track is, you guessed it, another Frigid Mines track. Fall off once and you'll never catch up without insane Lightning luck. Like the Acorn Cup, everything up to the last life on the final track was done without making a save state so I wouldn't have to grind my way back for another shot. Wish I knew that future versions fixed CPUs not slowing down in offroad sections before doing this.
