I am a practitioner both of Panantukan and western boxing. "Panantukan" is a term that has come to mean "Eskrima-based Filipino boxing" in the west. Coach Naithan, one of my boxing coaches, always said I should approach every sparring session with the mentality " Hindi ka sumuntok, bubugbugin kita. Sumuntok ka, bubugbugin pa din kita" which roughly translates " Punch me or don't - either way, I will destroy you". My training partner in the video is Coach Jayson. He is an amateur MMA fighter and is a Thailand -trained and certified Kru / Muay Thai and Muay Boran instructor. He is also a practitioner of TRACMA and Sipakan/Malayan Sports Combat.
