6201 Princess Elizabeth took charge of today's Northern Belle, from Lancaster to Carlisle via the S&C, with assistance from 57601 Windsor Castle at the rear. The first shots are of the train ascending Ripley Bank Lancaster at Bridge Road and then Piccadilly. We next see 6201 at Pimlico, Clitheroe followed by Chatburn. Finally the train is seen at a windy Selside and Selside Shaw. I nearly missed out on the shot at Chatburn, when 2 police cars drew up alongside me looking for a man with a weapon. It turned out that i had been seen carrying my tripod in it bag and someone reported it to the police. After seeing Lizzy pass I got an apology from the police ad they went on their merry way. Apologies for the stuttering pan at Selside Shaw, this was because Eric was trying to pan and keep the tripod from blowing over in the windy conditions
