2013 Hobie Mirage Tandem Island, Golden Papaya (yellow). The one or two person Tandem Island can be pedaled like a bike, paddled like a kayak, and sailed lake a multihull sailboat, with dinghy like performance. One can pedal through tacks and jibes. This sunshine yellow Hobie Tandem Island comes with most of the accessories available at the time, plus some new recent additions. The entire rig is in excellent condition. It has been stored in a garage, out of sunlight and washed and rinsed after every outing. The tandem island is perfect for sailing on a lake or along the shoreline of the ocean. This would be a perfect rig for fishing, day cruising, or even as a diving platform. Can also be used as a kayak, by removing the akas (or just folding them in). We have sailed this boat locally at state parks and other lakes and it performs great. The previous owner used it about 3 times. We have had it out on local lakes all summer. The Hobie Tandem Island was developed as an ocean going kayak, it is really sturdy and extremely easy to sail. My grandson stands on the deck and fishes.
