"Deutschösterreich, du herrliches Land" ("German-Austria, You Wonderful Land") was the national anthem of the First Austrian Republic (1919-1934) between 1920-1929. Written by Karl Renner, it refers to the country as 'German-Austria', the original name chosen by the post-WWI government of the country but forbidden by the Allies.
