I like many others have built my desk using a Kitchen benchtop and Ikea drawers. It's by far the most bang for the buck when it comes to a long desk with great storage options. But there is one big downside, there's no cable management! Sure you can screw in some of those trays, you know the ones which look like a dish rack, but it's not really hiding anything, it's just keeping them from touching the floor...
