Such incredible news to receive, and incredibly grateful 😍 https://youtu.be/gd4XFX7OhCo ^^The actual 360 VR Video - finished product and my entry into the My Rode Reel 2019 short film competition^^ When I embarked on my mission to create a 360 Studio tour, I honestly thought the video side of things would be the hardest. However, I wanted the video to have Ambisonics audio so it would sound like voice is coming from me when you looked in VR space to make it as immersive as possible. But I don't have one of the proper microphones to do this... the normal way! Enter my paper cut out protractor, I started mixing the audio and getting exact placement was tricky as I had no reference sounds in ambisonic space (remember, I'm building a 100% from scratch spacial audio soundscape) but it wasn't lining up as well as I'd like. So I had the idea, to merge the virtual world with the real, via the angles set on the ambisonics panner within Adobe Premiere Pro (also wanted to make this easy for others to replicate so used all inbuilt tools). After realising the 90deg offset I was off and running, and began jotting down measurements for each position I spoke at, or for foley audio like the Google Home Assistant. Also if you try this remove the -100 stereo panner placed on a mono clip when placed on an ambisonic 4 channel track by premiere, this will also screw up panner placement. The Dolby Atmos speaker placement conversion into Ambisonic 360 audio space had to be one of my favourite (nerdy I know!) things to pull off! I'm a HUGE fan of Dolby Atmos and immersive audio, so being able to somewhat create an example of standing in an Atmos Home Theatre is pretty cool.
