Cosmos recorded four albums & “Sweet Afternoon” is the 4th track from the album Bourbon Suite (1982). I first got to know this song when my electone friend, Lim Siok Hua, played it in an electone competition. Although I had the registration data for this song on HS8, I was unable to video it for YouTube as the data did not have full CSP/RSP. It was impossible for me to set the CSP/RSP myself as the display panel was totally spoilt by then. Changing the registration manually was also out of the question as the memory buttons from 9 to 16 could not be pressed. In addition, the right footswitch was functioning erratically, sometimes skipping a few memory buttons with one kick, so I couldn’t rely on it to change to the next memory button. Hence I was pleasantly surprised when I came across the audio version of this song on YouTube recently. Although my electone score is not an exact replicate of the original song (that’s why it’s called an arrangement), the YouTube video did give me some ideas on how to create the registration data for the song on Stagea.
