This video will be useful if you want to learn how to temporarily repair the fabric on an awning or canopy on your patio or deck, rv, caravan, motorhome, or simply at home. I left this worn out retractable patio awning open one day at our home, during a big wind storm, and the fabric ripped. I wanted to get another season out of it so I decided to try a cheap temporary repair using tuck sheathing tape. The theory behind this repair is taken from the idea of sewing or weaving the tape in two directions. Watch the video to find out more tips and tricks to conducting a workable temporary repair yourself on your awning. We will likely redo this awning next season but for now it is holding.
