As it turns out, I stan Michael Sheen in a bowtie (thanks Good Omens) so here I found myself binge-ing this series from 2013 for the first time. I actually haven't even finished the series yet (almost done!) but apparently couldn't wait to get something out there. So if you haven't seen this show (Masters of Sex), brief synopsis for you: It begins in the 1950's, Bill Masters is an obstetrician/fertility doctor who also embarks on a ground breaking sex study. Virginia Johnson joins him and quickly becomes an invaluable part of the study as Bill's research assistant. Not long into the study Bill and Virginia decide that, as scientists, they should also test their findings as well as new theories on each other; all the while insisting to one another that it is simply about "the work" and nothing else (side note, Bill is married). As you can imagine, things get complicated. In this video I focused more on what Bill goes through because, idk, I think a lot of people probably don't like his character. He's very stuffy and selfish and not exactly the warm and fuzzy type. He also almost always does the wrong thing and you want to wring his neck but damnit, he's also got a lot of layers and he's damaged and idk, I just wanna give him a hug lol. For every step forward he takes he takes ten backwards but like Virgina (admittedly or not), I love the idiot anyway. Uh ok, enough of that. Just, go watch the show. Thank me later. Oh, also this video is super mild compared to the actual show so if you're squeamish to sex scenes, maybe you skip this show lol.
