Zhou Xuan (周璇) sang “Two Roads” (兩條路上) slightly different from the written lyrics. She added one word which I show in parenthesis in Chinese, Chinese traditional, and Chinese simplified closed captions. The way she sang it makes more sense because it means on the road. (條(路)上), road is the noun. Zhou Xuan could sing in the traditional Chinese style and Western style. This song is in the Western style. As you may have noticed, this song is not about roads.
