For those who wish to travel to Glenkerr by steam train there is a summer time train The Northern Light. Denis and his mate were keen to see the K1 loco which is usually kept on standby so they had a chat to the loco roster man and after a little word and some voluntary cleaning of the loco got him to allocate the K1 instead of the Black 5 normally used (Sound loco) so here we see the result of their efforts as it makes its way through the mountains before being turned, where the driver kindly waited while they got their photos, ready to go back.
