A bit of waiting around for Merchant navy class locomotive British India Line hauled in light steam by class 47 locomotive Chris Fudge from Carnforth in readiness for the following days charter train to Edinburgh. A scheduled wait in the sidings was cut short and she departed to the National Rail Museum an hour early. There I found the area close to the fence was cordoned off for building work. I hope that will not mean the end of being able to get a close view of locomotives being serviced.
