cedarcam's video: Kato SD38 2 Bargain

A while ago I came across a channel showing a 17 mile long line that was built by US Steel to carry coal from their mine. That line is maintained by two men and occasional extra contractors brought in when there are bigger jobs to do like repairing bridges or re railing. I have found the channel very interesting, showing a lot of how how the line is worked the locomotives used and the problems that arise from running their old coal hoppers. In a recent video Dave showed a model of the first locomotive the company bought and that set me thinking. I was already undecided if to build a small layout or just have display cases. After finding an as new locomotive that was not as much as I would of paid for a British model in that condition I sent off for it. Having never bought a HO model before I am really pleased with the amount of detail and lots of extra to add on which puts some of our models to shame. So here we go opening my first HO scale model and the beginning of a new venture. Thank you for giving me inspiration for my new model Dave.
