Merry Zodmas to everybody and Happy New Year! Here's my last video for 2013 and i have to say, it's really the big one. And i'm not only talking about it's lenght, i'm also meaning that i wanted to make this video for YEARS. As you may know, i'm kinda crazy about everything superhero-related, and i had an idea to express my feelings on the subject in one giant tribute video for quite a while. I've never felt i had enough good movies on my hands up untill last few years, so i should really thank Marvel Cinematic Universe and such an amazing guys as Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder for bringing up comic book movies to a whole new level. The 00's were pretty harsh for the genre, i mean we had to sit through such bullshit as Catwoman, Ghost Rider, couple of disapointing F4 movies, and a cheesfest, also known as Spider-Man Trilogy...With that said i also wanted to celebrate with my video those movies, that were the few silver linings at that time, so i also included such stuff as Blade, X men, V for Vendetta, etc. We had a lot of awesome comic book movies over the last few years. I mean, we finally got a decent Superman movie, some epic Batman stuff, sweet all-new Spider-man and the freaking Avengers. So finally i feel that the time is right and you know...for me comic book movies today is something that is on a usual update. Looks like we're getting a F4 reboot, a lot of new DC-projects and even an Ant-Man movie. So with that in mind i can see myself doing another tribute like this one, sort of like Phase 2 or something where i can play around with movies that are yet to come out in the future. But for now, have fun watching The New Age of Superheroes. I think we all deserved to. By the way, i'll write my short opinion on each movie i've used in my video, so you can see why i included some of them, and cast out others. Made by Cruciatus (aka centperk) Songs used: LINKIN PARK - IRIDESCENT SOUNDGARDEN - LIVE TO RISE HENRY JACKMAN - FRANKENSTEIN'S MONSTER HANS ZIMMER - AN IDEAL OF HOPE NINE INCH NAILS - WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER MOVIES USED: BLADE (1998), BLADE 2 (2002) - pretty bad-ass movies, still hold up for today, and don't even start about Blade Trinity. X MEN (2000) - Good. X MEN 2 (2003) - Better. X MEN 3: THE LAST STAND (2006) - Worse than first two, good action stuff though. X MEN: ORIGINS. WOLVERINE (2009) - Hate it, 5 seconds of Ryan Reynolds worth recognition though. X MEN FIRST CLASS (2011) - not a big fan of this one, but Mcavoy and Fassbender are tremendous. THE WOLVERINE (2013) - probably my favourite X-men movie, since X2. BATMAN BEGINS (2005), THE DARK KNIGHT (2008), THE DARK KNIGHT RISES (2012) - fucking legend. V FOR VENDETTA (2005) - really good pre-Watchmen movie. CONSTANTINE (2005) - questionable as an adaptation, but good on it's own. HELLBOY (2003), HELLBOY 2: GORLDEN ARMY (2008) - Guillermo Del Toro, man. Enough said. WATCHMEN (2009) - masterpiece. DAREDEVIL (2003) - kind of underrated movie, raped by editing. But only the director's cut. PUNISHER: WAR ZONE (2008) - Included it, mostly out of respect for Ray Stevenson and Dominic West. Not a perfect Punisher movie, but much more of a Punisher movie than Punisher 2004. I like Thomas Jane though. KICK-ASS (2010), KICK-ASS 2 (2013) - love'em, they have a special place in my heart. IRON MAN (2008), IRON MAN 2 (2010), IRON MAN 3 (2013) - simply good movies, RDJ rules. THE INCREDIBLE HULK (2008) - i really dig the Norton's performance. Other than that, an appealing Hulk movie. THOR (2011), THOR 2: THE DARK WORLD (2013) - again, simply good, enjoyable movies. CAPTAIN AMERICA (2011) - had a potential to be a much better movie, but the result isn't bad at all. THE AVENGERS (2012) - oh, c'mon. GHOST RIDER: THE SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE (2012) - i was surprised by how much hate this movie got. It's silly and over-the-top, but Rider-stuff was a lot of fun. GREEN LANTERN (2011) - another much hated movie. I like the presence of GL in my video, but i just wish it was from a better movie. DREDD (2012 ) - underrated and bad-ass. Go see it if you haven't already. MAN OF STEEL (2013) - a lot of people are torn on this one, but i don't care. I love it.
