@Rajasthan Underwater Today As Dam Breaches In India 🇮🇳 June 19 2023 राजस्थान
Today, June 19th 2023, Rajasthan, India is currently experiencing severe flooding due to the impact of Cyclone Biparjoy, which has led to heavy rain and flood-like conditions across many parts of the state. The cyclone, which made landfall in Gujarat before reaching Rajasthan, has affected several districts including Barmer, Sirohi, Banswara, Udaipur, Rajsamand, Pali, Ajmer, and Kota, with some areas receiving between 10 and 13 inches of rain. The heavy rainfall has disrupted life in these districts, causing severe damage and loss. Several areas have been submerged due to the breach of the Surava dam in Sanchore, Jalore district, resulting in a rise in water level in the Narmada Lift Canal. Sanchore city is currently facing the most danger and efforts are being made to evacuate the city. In Jaipur, the rainy season has commenced, and heavy rains have already begun to impact the city and surrounding districts including Dausa and Alwar. The Meteorological Center in Jaipur predicts that the impact of the cyclone will be observed in surrounding districts, including Ajmer, Jaipur, Tonk, and Sawai Madhopur, until the following morning. Rescue operations are underway with 59 people already rescued from Jalore, Sirohi, and Barmer districts. The State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF) has been working diligently to evacuate civilians stranded in flood-affected areas, including the Od Basti of Bhinmal town in Jalore and the low-lying areas of Dhaurimanna town in Barmer district. Rajasthan Disaster and Relief Secretary, P C Kishan, has announced an alert for heavy rains in the next 15 to 20 hours, with teams on standby. Several dams in Pindwara, Abu Road, and Rewar are now full and water is being released from the Batisa Dam in Sirohi to manage the water level. The Disaster Relief and Management Department has recorded heavy rains in many areas, with some places receiving rainfall ranging from 67 to 203 millimetres. The Jaipur Meteorological Center has reported heavy to very heavy rainfall in Jalore, Sirohi, Barmer, and Pali districts, and many other parts of the state. Additionally, a red alert has been issued in Pali, Sirohi, Rajsamand, and Udaipur for the next 24 hours, with heavy to very heavy rainfall expected to continue at isolated places over Ajmer, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Tonk, Bundi, Jaipur, Nagaur, and Jalor. As the state continues to grapple with the ongoing crisis, the situation is being continuously monitored and efforts are being made to provide relief to the affected residents.
