First we took a bunch of cocoa beans and spread them out all over this grate. Then we took a steamer and placed it under the cocoa beans so the steam would rise up through the cocoa beans during the shot. These lights get so hot on set that art department had to wear head coverings so they wouldn't get burnt. For the camera move we used a fisher dolly to move forward slowly with the Laowa probe lens super super close. That gave us the ultra wide landscape angle for this shot.
