In April 2020 the developers of the ProtoThrottle released a beta version of new firmware. The new firmware has new features like performing a brake test and assigning a function capability to the reverser when centered. This is a video that shows both in action. I am using an ESU Loksound 5 DCC decoder. On this decoder, F24 is the centerer function, the throttle can rev up independent of any locomotive motion. Pretty neat developments!
