@Vacant in WWF No Mercy N64?

This happened on the N64. Not an emulator. I started playing WWF No Mercy for the N64 and tried to have a four-way World Title match. The champion had no name. And when he entered first, this is what I saw. It's Vacant! I have no idea what caused this. When the match started, the game would freeze if player 1 touched the D-Pad. You can even hear "VACANT" in the music!
