Department of Urology, Weill Cornell Medical College. www.cornellurology.com; www.maleinfertility.org Introduction: Inguinal herniorrhaphy with mesh is the most common procedure performed in the Western world, and bilateral repair with mesh is a recognized cause of iatrogenic obstructive azoospermia. The obstruction occurs at the inguinal ring, making vasovasostomy challenging. Robotic-assisted laparoscopic mobilization of the vas deferens has never been described before and, as with other pelvic surgeries, may provide easier access to and manipulation of pelvic anatomy.
