CUNY TV's video: What Connects CUNY TV in partnership with The Shed presents UP CLOSE

@What Connects?| CUNY TV in partnership with The Shed presents UP CLOSE
This episode of UP CLOSE presents What Connects?, a collection of poems and images that critique the inequities on display in America’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, produced in April and May 2020 by Gabriel Ramirez, Tasha Dougé and Nova Cypress Black. Recording Date 06/07/2020 First Air Date 02/09/2021 UP CLOSE is an ongoing digital series commissioned by The Shed that explores what it means to think about the world and make art right now. While our favorite gathering places like restaurants, cinemas, libraries and cultural organizations are closed, creativity endures and ties us together. These digital commissions aim to continue connecting audiences and artists, building on the belief that access to art and culture is a right, and not a privilege.
