I know it's been quite a while since episode 2 came out and from the recent uploads it might look like I'm not working on it but rest assured that the other stuff I've been doing is all leading up to DBrZ episode 3! So here's a small teaser from the beginning of the episode! This Super Smash Bros. machinima series is the spiritual successor to the old school machinima Soul Brawl. It's also a bit of a what if. What if you take the cast and concept of Super Smash Brothers and combine it with story elements and high octane battles from the anime Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super? You'll get a smash machinima like this! Join Captain Falcon, Sonic, Lucario, Mewtwo, Link, Zelda/Sheik, Fox, Falco, Meta Knight, Peach and Bowser as they put a stop to a rebellion that threatened to overthrow their world and discover the even greater threat that lurks beneath the surface. Can our heroes save the mushroom kingdom from Ganondorf's invasion? Find out on the next installment of the exciting Super Smash Bros. machinima series Dragon Brawl Z! I've been making machinima since before I even knew it was called that. I started out recording game footage from Super Smash Bros. 64 and Super Smash Bros. Melee on VHS and around the time Super Smash Bros. Brawl came out I discovered YouTube which lead to me making my first bigger machinima series Soul Brawl. Unfortunately this smash machinima was plagued with issues and I eventually had to cancel it. Dragon Brawl Z is the spiritual successor to Soul Brawl. Even in my earliest Melee and Brawl machinima I was already trying to recreate the feeling of Dragon Brall Z with the Super Smash Bros. roster. But I never quite had the right tools. This all changed in 2015 when I got a more powerful PC and with it the ability to emulate Super Smash Bros Brawl and record footage in HD. I also started using After Effects which allowed me to use VFX that increased the Dragon Ball Z feeling of my smash machinima. Since then I've been constantly pushing what the Brawl engine can do, ranging from simple custom animation to proper lip synching and now with this new opening I found a way to make the game play pre-animated sequences similar to SFM. In short, I hope that this Super Smash Bros. machinima takes after Dragon Ball Z in two ways. To recreate the feeling and epic battles and to constantly go beyond its own limits!
