So it rained and poured like hell that afternoon. If I remember correctly, things kynda shut down a bit early and we were wandering around when I ran in to Michael Sheehan, one of the festival photographers, who directed us to an impromptu jam backstage under a tent. I grabbed my gear, ran back there, set up real quick and was lucky enuf to catch this very special happening led by Peter Rowan and accompanied by Vassar Clements, Rev. Jeff Mosier, Tony Rice, Brynn and Billy Bright, Randy Judy ( aka Big Cosmo - The fest promoter ) and I think Brian Goodpasture on some fiddle later on in. This was one of those moments in time you always look back on and remember fondly. Luckily, in this case, we have it captured forever! I gotta thank Karen Takacs and Mark ( The Mechanic ) Lynch for prodding me to dig deep and locate this one and the drive it resided on for all these years ( shit, decades actually ).
