David Perry speaks with photographer Francesco Cascavilla from his home in Rome, one of the 52 featured artists in New Queer Photography: Focus on the Margins from Gingko Press and edited by Benjamin Wolbergs. Cascavilla started his career in Rome, studying at the La Porta Blu School of Art. After that, he moved to London where he studied at the Chelsea School of Art. In 2011 moved to Berlin where he attended the Kunst Gut School of Art and worked as an assistant for several photographers, always keeping the focus on his personal research. He returned to Rome this year. Cascavilla and Perry discuss art, music, queer culture and the impact of COVID on it all.
