Nick Pawl was one of the last of the greats of the Beatnik Era. He also starred in dozens of episodes of "Maverick" and played a "heavy" in the 1960 crime drama "Pay or Die". Nick owned one of the world's largest and most impressive collections of counterculture rock era posters in the world and created hundreds of well known posters and bumper stickers of his own, including the famous "FUCK YOU" eye exam chart and the Vietnam War era bumper sticker "Long Time No Peace." I'm honored to be able to say that Nick and Flo were also friends of mine. "HELP WANTED" was one of Nick's forays into the new video art form and although his health was declining his spirit and passion for beat poetry never flagged. Filmed in 1982.
