Dinkey Lakes Day Hike to Mystery And Swede Lakes. The trailhead is 12 miles off Dinkey Lake Road on a road that requires off road tires and high ground clearance. Watch for the sign for the turn off on the left before you get to Dinkey Creek Trailhead elevation 8,586’ Highest Elevation 9,232’ (Swede Lake) Gain 888’ overall Distance 5.5 miles overall. (Our Mini Golden Doodle Hobbes probably did about 14 miles.) Time overall 4:27 Out and Inbound times were about the same. I used a Sony A7C camera with a Zeiss/Sony 16-35mm f4 lens. The photo of me was taken by my wife with her iPhone 13 pro camera.
