Edgar (who was somewhere to the right of John Wayne) made good money from B-movie Merton Park Studios, during the Fifties and Early Sixties, in two series of police procedurals. "Scotland Yard" - then this. Here he is in a potted piece I put together, which includes the theme, made popular by the Tornados. Robbie Coltraine once did a great spoof of him as "Edgar Bloodlusten" - but I don't got it. I DO however have a bit (and the theme) from Merton Park's other sucessful series - "Tales From Edgar Wallace" - mostly written in the Thirties, but set in the then-present, they were pretty good too.
