dlucs_'s video: Planning And Long Term Thinking

@Planning And Long Term Thinking
Want to see the full blog post on this video? https://theneweraofbarbering.com/blog-24 Profit Per Cut Tracking Sheet: https://theneweraofbarbering.com/blog-1 Why I am creating this video: Barbers set low standards/ goals that lead to little to no return Why this happens: Lack of understanding of what barbers can achieve if they build their business properly What needs to happen: -Identify goal (needs to be long term) -Cut out all short term decisions -Build out what needs to happen in order to achieve goal -Begin to attack Example: Goal for most barbers is to go from $2,500 to $6,000 a month This sets a low standard and honestly, can be done in 3-4 months if they properly attack. Typically this happens because they waste time and do non ROI activities. They then continue this, thinking more of what they do already is needed, and never progress. Solution: First, identify that anything less than $10k a month isn’t that proper of a goal to even go after Next, stop coming up with “location” or “skill set” as an excuse as to why not, you are already screwing yourself over. Then, identify what you need to build that you don’t currently have (the reason why you don’t have goal already) -Poor marketing -Poor product development -Poor business structure with no tracking Then, start with the first thing that needs to happen out of that last category and focus on your inputs and not a time frame to attain goal. For marketing, figure out what platform you are going to attack Then, figure out what way you will utilize that platform Then figure out what numbers you must hit in order to attain to the number you want to build your business to. -How much, what's the conversion rate on that, how long should that take me if that holds. Then, improving product -What needs to be improved, optimize for business growth not skill growth, and is it making everything more efficient Set up a structure for tracking, a great resource you can implement is the profit per cut which I made a separate video on Continue to take action on those few items and improve the health of your business, and the goals will be easily hit. This is how we plan and wreak havoc and successfully accomplish goals Instead of setting up things that get us motivated Results speak, and we have students making $3,000 a week, $1000 a day, and over $100 per cut. Laser locked execution on what makes the boat go faster and being a doer, not a talker. Interested in what we do inside Elevated Mentorship?
