Studio 31 Media Archive's video: WCCB News@Six Full 11 20 2021 New Graphics

Complete 6pm newscast from the CW (and former longtime Fox) affiliate serving Charlotte, NC, recorded on Saturday, November 20, 2021. The station serves as the flagship of Bahakel Communications. WCCB received new graphics in November, and am sorry for just now getting around to posting this. They are very clearly an in-house job. WCCB also received updates to the long-running custom music package they have used since 2008, and I still don't know who the composer is. Bob Tracey remains as the station voiceover. I'm sorry but this is one of the worst large market products I've seen. I think the station has people who try, and the anchor here, Marvin Beach, is solid. I am most certainly not a fan of their chief meteorologist (seen here) at all and I will leave it at that. Content selection and placement is all over the place and it seems no thought was put into flow. They have a stinger for virtually everything which is kind of annoying and slows down the flow of the newscast. The station also somehow manages to put on newscasts 7 days a week with virtually no staff, so I will commend them for trying. However, in the community, they are largely seen as an afterthought now. That being said, I don't see Bahakel selling out anytime soon, and they'll continue to try and churn out news on a shoestring budget for as long as they can make money with it. Losing Fox in 2013 very much hurt the station and plummeted them to near-irrelevancy. Anchored by Marvin Beach, along with weather from chief meteorologist Nicole Madden (normally works weekday mornings and was filling-in for the usual weekend met), and sports from Hannah Oliveto. Includes reports from John Lorinc (CNN Newsource) and John Matarese ("Don't Waste Your Money"). Commercials were edited out, station promos are retained.
