My message and scripture for today is concerning "Endurance, How to stay in the Race". In summary, endurance is a quality of life that enables us to keep on keeping on. Many wonderful promises are extended to those who will endure til the end. lst Corinthians 15:57-58 says: "But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58Therefore, my dear brothers, (and sisters) stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain". Amen! Endurance enables us to conquer temptation. James points out, "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him". (James 1:12) Endurance helps us to keep running the race that God has set before us. "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking into Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God". (Hebrews 12:1-2)
