@Storm King's Thunder - Episode 3 (Making it to Julkoun - Is that GUH or HUG? Or is it both?)
We are running Storm King's Thunder on Fantasy Grounds software. This is Episode 3. LINKS FROM THE VIDEO: This Video's Link: https://youtu.be/0zgJvH0j9yo Twitch stream: http://www.twitch.tv/doremicom Last Time on Storm King's Thunder (Episode 2): Last time we started with the crew fighting an angry group of ice mephits who blocked their path. Emerging victorious they continued to meet the isolated giant slayer Jahiar. Convincing her to join them they headed back to town only to find it under attack by Yigor Bonecrusher beating the town hall with a pair of trees. Little did he know, we beat harder...with weapons. With the aid of Jahiar and Eslandra the sorcerer we overcame Yigor much to the towns thanks. The task done, we continued to Julkoun across a small river ferry. Lets do this! My take as a Dungeons and Dragons DM. The greatest thing about running adventures in Faerun is all the lavish history and backstory that you can add to your adventures. The worst thing about running adventures in Faerun is all the lavish history and backstory that you can add to your adventures. So if you come and watch us run a game, be aware that as a DM, I am creating an instance of the sword coast. Where I can do whatever I want. I like to add NPCs that players run into from adventure to adventure. I like not taking the world on my shoulders and feeling like I have to follow everything that already exists out there. Because it's too much. It's too restricting and it does not cater to telling a good story. I also like to change elements in modules that exist, to keep players wanting to jump in, even if they've played it before. So, now that you know how I approach my games. I want you to know what changes I've made to my copy of Faerun. You do not have to care about any of this to enjoy the show. I'm telling you just so if the players seem thrown for a loop, you'll have a better understanding why. At the time of writing this post my group has played: Lost Mines of Phandelver One-shot Halloween Adventure set 94 years prior to Lost Mines.
