The prevalence of sexual violations is rooted in a deeply seated distortion of the Collective Consciousness--a dis-ease of mind and Spirit that has reached pandemic proportions. Sexual perversion, energy vampirism, sexual predation, narcissism, sexual aggression, lust, and irresponsible unchecked obsession with power have become common dark desires in the psyche of many individuals. While the existence of these desires isn't new or solely an affliction of modern societies, the prevalence with which these desires are indulged and the social acceptance and normality of indulging these desires have contributed to the ubiquity and chronicity of sexual violations that numerous victims experience. Media, and especially pornography, perpetuate and glorify sexual objectification and sexual obsessions. Many sexual predators attempt to sanctify their perverse fantasies and predatory intentions by labelling their desires as "yogic or taoist tantra", "sexual therapy", "sexual liberation", "sexual freedom", and "sexual sovereignty". These labels are profoundly misapplied and decontextualized as perverse and base sexual acts are rooted in superficial lust, energy vampirism, power plays, and ego aggrandizing, rather than reflecting the core tenets of tantric practices: Divine Love, authentic connection, mutual respect, and reverential honouring of each partner's sacred Divine Essence. Why does sexual abuse occur? Are there predispositions present in the parent-child relationship that may create an imprint of disempowerment & suppression in a child? Children who experience insufficient or inconsistent affection, attention, validation, love, support from family, and an emotionally unstable home environment can become more vulnerable to oppression, transgression, and bullying. Disempowered children can become easy prey for sexual predators. Confident, empowered children who feel loved, accepted, validated, and safe in their family environment are more likely to have stronger energetic boundaries and therefore less likely to experience sexual transgressions and less likely to remain silent if a sexual transgression or attempted violation does occur.
