Review & Unboxing of both versions of the Xiaomi Yi Action Camera. What are the differences? The Chinese Version is available in arctic white and lime green; only the International Version is available in true black. There are 3 main differences: 1 - the notch next to the 1/4" tripod thread at the bottom of the camera disappeared 2 - The battery door of the international version has a metal sheet instead of plastic. 3 - The battery of the International Version is from Sony and has a capacity of 990 mAh. The Chinese Version has an unbranded 1010 mAh battery, but it doesn't last as long as the Sony Battery Other parts of the camera are the same: 16 MP Sony Exmor Sensor Sensor Ambarella A7 chip Resolution 2K - max. 30fps 1080p - max. 60fps 720p - max. 120fps Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Underwater case not included (18 USD) Dimension: 60,4x42x21,2 mm Weight: 72g The image quality is very much alike. My International Version is a Z23L model and the Chinese Version a Z221. The L indicates that the lens doesn't have an IR filter, so my International Version doesn't have that. You can see a slight difference when there are lens flares in the comparison video. Both cameras were mounted using a GoPro Suction Cup mount. Image shown in the comparison was not edited.
