On the side you’ll find an on/off switch and a microUSB port for charging the internal 200 mAh battery. A USB cable is included. On the bottom you can find a ¼“ thread, so you can mount it on any standard photogear. A climbing hook is included, which attaches to the ¼“ thread, so you can carry the monopod with you. On top you’ll find a smartphone mount with a maximum height of 7cm. A Samsung Galaxy S4 fits perfectly. You can detach the mount and use the GoPro mount instead, to use the monopod with any action camera. The monopod is 22.5 cm in size when closed and can be extended with its 5 sections to any length up to 90 cm. The head stays perfectly alligned to the center of the monopod at any lenght! The grip is really great, has an ergonomic design and is very coforable to hold. You can choose from 4 different colors: black, rose red, sky blue and gold. I tested it with a Samsung Galaxy S4 and Andorid, an iPhone 5 with iOS and the Xiaomi Yi camera: The remote does not work with the Xiaomi Yi camera. When using it with the standard Android photo app you can use shutter and zoom. When using it with the standard iOS photo app you can just use the shutter button. If you get the Blitzwolf App for Android or iOS you can use all features of all buttons on the monopod. The Xiaomi monopod is a little smaller in size and therefore doesn’t extand as long as the Blitzwolf monopod. Despite the Blitzwolf monopod beeing larger with a battery included, it is still lighter than the Xiaomi monopod. The Blitzwolf monopod is very versatile as you can use it with your Smartphone or any action camera. Just keep in mind that the remote control just works for smartphones.
