eliberg33's video: kdrama super psycho love

I promised people I'd do a Korean drama video so here you go! I felt like I was a bit pressured because I've never done one before, and there are soooo many good series to watch that it was hard to be able to add them all in just one video. I also know that most of my subs don't know anything about kdrama's so I'm a bit nervous about how people will react.. but hopefully only positive reactions! I wish I had better quality clips. I must apologize for some of the bad quality in here.. Hopefully you won't be too much bothered by it. It looked fine in SV but now that I look at it, it looks kind of cheap here... Anyway, please overlook it if possible. WHAT IS KDRAMA? Kdrama stands for korean drama. Which pretty much explains everything. Korean actors, producers etc. That make a "television show" in korean. I haven't know about kdrama's for long. I started watching it late last year, and I've been hooked the past few months. Usually kdrama's are on chick-flick basis, but there are some with other genre as well. I prefer cheesy romance stories over anything, they are so good! Haha. Most kdrama's are from 16-20 episodes. Each episode last about 45 mins / 1 hour long. WHAT'S SO GOOD ABOUT KDRAMA? There are so many drama's that are original! Not like one of those American television shows where... friend falls in love with your friends boyfriend, gets pregnant, someone dies, someone new comes in, someone drops out of school blabla the basic plot you see in Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill etc. I'm not saying that those shows are bad (they are really good) but I'm saying that Kdrama is a lot more original. You never know what's going to happen. Of course there are some shows that are similar to each other, but usually they are really original. So That's why I like em so much : ) But you need to keep in mind that they are really different. The way it's filmed, acted and so on. You'll get used to it quick, but at first it's a bit weird. SOME KDRAMA I RECOMMEND & HAVE WATCHED Playful kiss: It's about a 'dumb' girl who falls in love with the schools popular boy. He doesn't even know who she is at all. After she gets rejected, everything else in her life falls apart. The father & her have to move into some of her dad's old friends house because their house collapsed. Only to find out later that she's moving in to the same house as her popular crush. It's dramatic, a bit sad, romantic and funny. 5/5 stars. You're Beautiful: It's about a girl who wants to become a nun. One day a weird mysterious man who tells her that she has to come back with him stalks her. She rejects him until he brings up her brother. She has to dress up as her brother, sign a pop star contract and that's all. But it turns out she has to be her brother for longer than she thought. Now she has to live in a house with three other attractive superstars. What happens if she falls in love with one of them? As far as they know... she's only a boy. It's really funny, romantic and dramatic. My favorite drama of all time, it reminds me of the movie 'she's the man' haha its 5/5 Coffee Prince: Her life is not easy, she works many jobs to pay off debts and even gave up her feminine image. The main guy is the heir of a big food company, but his grandmother wants him to settle down. After he accidently bumps into the 'girl' he thinks is a guy he decides to hire her to work in his coffee and force her into being his gay lover, so the grandmother would back off. Not knowing that he is actually a 'she' he starts falling for her and thinks he is gay. This was hilarious, I loved it. It has romance, drama and comedy. I'll give it 4/5 My Girlfriend Is A Nine Tailed Fox: This is a love story of a man, who accidentally falls in love with a Gumiho, a monster from Korean myth. The main male lead unknowingly releases the legendary Gumiho from her eternal prison. Frightened, he tries to run away, but gets into an accident that costs him his life. Feeling thankful, the Gumiho saves his life. // I really loved this drama! I didn't think I would but I actually did. It's so beautiful. It has romance, comedy, drama and fiction. I'll give it a 4.5/5 Here are some other drama's I recommend cheking out: - Dream High (3.7/5) - City Hunter (4/5) - Boys Over Flowers (4/5) - Secret Garden (4.3/5) - My Princess (3.9/5) - Heartstrings (3.4/5) - Protect The Boss (3.4/5) - Mary Stayed Out All Night (4/5) - Shut Up Flower Boy Band (3.9/5) + there are tons more out there, but those were the drama's that first came to my mind when I was writing this down.
