@The Seeds - "Can't Seem to Make You Mine" (2019 San Francisco)
The Seeds perform "Can't Seem to Make You Mine" at The Chapel in San Francisco on January 3, 2019. This is raw handheld footage from Eric Predoehl. Please do NOT share without credit. __________ Here's the bio from the Chapel webpage: THE SEEDS remain one of the most iconic American rock bands of the late 60’s. Their signature hits ‘Pushin’ Too Hard’ and ‘Can't Seem To Make You Mine’ still pack a punch with both the original baby boomers as well as a legion of new and younger fans. Their story began in Southern California where the legendary Wolfman Jack recognized their talent and played them on the airwaves. Late night play gave The Seeds an ever widening band of devoted followers and the group graduated from a hip “underground” reputation in the clubs of Hollywood to heavy national airplay for their attitude-laden records like ‘Pushin’ Too Hard’, ‘Can't Seem To Make You Mine’ and ‘Mr. Farmer’. Numerous TV appearances and best-selling albums such as ‘The Seeds’ and ‘A Web Of Sound’, led to unprecedented scenes of fan pandemonium at hundreds of concert tours across the USA and Canada, from Bido Lido’s to the Hollywood Bowl. The unmistakable sound and songs of The Seeds still resonates today as they did in the 60’s. That raw and formidable sound, which legions fans became infatuated with, is even better and more powerful with this new line up, featuring founding member Daryl Hooper on keyboards and 60's alumni Don Boomer on drums. Rounding out the band is seasoned session guitarist Jeff Prentice with dynamic lead man Paul Kopf delivering the vocals. And while the band performed on stage as a quartet in the 60’s, their studio recordings always included a bassist so they have enlisted 5-time Grammy nominated producer and rock archivist Alec Palao on bass to complete the stage show. “I’ve never liked the idea of putting on some music before sex, but if I was gonna put on some music to have some sex with, I’d put on The Seeds.” -Iggy Pop "while many of their contemporaries -- bands whose commercial footprint far exceeded theirs -- have been forgotten, the Seeds' importance has only blossomed." -Joe Lynch (Billboard) “They invented Garage Rock” -Rodney Bingenheimer (Rodney on the Roq, KROQ DJ) “The Seeds ... America’s own Rolling Stones” –Muddy Waters
