They are members of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe. Sheldon has worked as a lawyer for children involved in the foster care system, and currently works with Tribal Courts. He has published a law article on traditional Cheyenne law and governance. Lamar Spotted Elk has worked for 20 years in education in both K–12 and higher education. He has served as a teacher, counselor, and is currently an administrator in the Salt Lake City School District. Lamar is a Fellowship Graduate from the University of Utah and Northern Arizona University and is an enrolled member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe. Tanya Ball is a Michif woman residing in amiskwacîwâskahikan (Edmonton) in Treaty 6 Territory and Métis Region 4. She is a PhD Student at the Faculty of Native Studies where she researches Michif experiences of death and dying. She is also a co-host for masinahikan iskwêwak: the Book Women Podcast, which is a podcast about Indigenous Storytelling. Lindsey A. Harvell-Bowman (moderator) is an Associate Professor in the School of Communication Studies, Department of Graduate Psychology, and the Department of Psychology at James Madison University, where she leads the Terror Management Lab, conducting research centered around Terror Management Theory. She is a member of the Osage Nation located in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
