Sandiwara Cirebonan adalah salah satu hiburan rakyat yang mulai di tinggalkan oleh masyarakatnya karena datangnya dunia modern. Kesenian ini hanya tinggal menunggu waktu termakan oleh zaman. Penurunan panggilan pentas disebebkan oleh biaya produksi yang tinggi, sehingga masyarakat cenderung memilih organ tunggal dari pada sandiwara. Pemerintah sendiri terkesan tidak memperhatikan kesenian ini dengan berbagai alasan.
