eucatastrophe's video: My Top 10 Korean Dramas of 2017

*Contains flashes and many mistakes. I forgot that 2018 was so closed and spent last night and today making this. The order goes from least favorite (10) to my top favorite (1). I included my favorite OSTs from the dramas as well. This is my own list based or my preferences and whether or not I finished the drama. Underneath is what the dramas are about and why I chose them.* 1. Mad Dog (2017-Oct-11 to 2017-Nov-30) A man whose brother is seen as a criminal for intentionally crashing a plane approaches another man who lost two important people in the same place crash. Oh boy. I never would have thought this would be my favorite one. There could be season two and I would totally watch. In the original summary it explains that the show is about fraud and I thought that would not be interesting but still gave it a chance because Ryu Hwa-Young was in it and I ad been impressed with her acting in age of youth. I watched for Ryu Hwa-Young but stayed fro Ryu Hwa-Young and Woo Do-hwan. I end up watching Save Me just for Woo Do-hwan and I will continue watching his future dramas. I was so into Mad Dog that I made like four videos just on this show and even though it is over I can't help but smile when it I think about it. I recommend for anyone who wants to see a love-hate relationship. Also Kim Min-joon has to be protected at all costs. 2. Tunnel (2017-Jan-14 to 2017-May-21) Tunnel focuses on a detective who travels into the future and has to figure how how to get back and how to catch a serial killer who he was chasing after into the past but has not been caught even in the future. He has to deal with a psychologist and another detective to do so. 3. Sensitive Boss (2017-Jan-16 to 2017-Mar-14) A CEO has bad social anxiety which makes his workers misinterpret him. He tries to stay to himself but is forced to interact with his workers after a scandal. Within the group of workers is a person with a troubling connection to the CEO's company who is searching for answers from the misunderstood CEO. 4. Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim (2016-Nov-07 to 2017-Jan-17) A man is transferred to a new hospital to work where he meets a love who disappeared as well a man who changed his life. Unfortunately, neither of them seem to be fond of him or his arrival. Although this started in 2016, it did end in 2017 which is why I decided to include it. 5. While You Were Sleeping (2017-Sep-27 to 2017-Nov-16) A woman has dreams that always come true. Then she meets someone with the same ability. The two work together to stop possible disasters. 6. Duel (2017-Jun-03 to 2017-Jul-23) Duel is about a father searching for his daughter's kidnapper only to find the kidnapper but also his clone who was framed. 7. Avengers Social Club (2017-Oct-11 to 2017-Nov-16) Avengers Social Club is about 3 ladies who want revenge or seeking to find justice. They end up getting an unlikely ally in a highshool student who is also the new previously unknown step-son of one of the ladies. 8. Lookout (2017-May-22 to 2017-July-11) Lookout is about a group of people who get revenge with the skills of each other. One of the people looking for revenge is a mother who wants to avenge who dead daughter. 9. Star of the Universe (2017-Jan-26 to 2017-Feb-09) Star of the Universe is about a girl grim reaper and a singer. The girl is given the task of protecting the singer who might die any moment but she was to do so under certain conditions. I think this is the only web drama on the list. I will admit that this web drama could pass of as a fan fiction but it still made sense to me in a way. Not to mention it made me appreciate Suho from EXO a lot more. 10. Circle (2017-May-22 to 2017-Jun-27) Circle is a korean drama which focuses both on the present and the past and how they are connected. The present focuses on two brothers who experience an encounter with an alien while the future focuses of a society where some have kept their memories while others have erased them.
