Celtics had dropped game 1 and were facing a must win situation at home. Bird put the Sixers away early with 23/11 in the first half alone on 10/12 shooting. Celtics went on to lose the next two games but made a historic comeback to win the series after being down 3-1. Bird averaged 27/13/5 on 49% for the series, and hit the series winning shot in game 7 to send Celtics to the NBA finals. Intensity and physicality wise the last three games of this series are some of the best I've ever seen. The teams absolutely hated each other.
