We didn't get to see Santa! But that's okay because we are coming back. Santa's Village is now Skypark at Santa's Village that will soon offer more than just sweet treats, Christmas carols, nostalgic entertainment and Santa Claus. If you loved Santa's Village growing up or always wanted to go, enjoying it now will be satisfying as you'll be able to ice skate in their new rink, can ride the pedal cars (Arrow's Adventure), small polar express train and sift for unique rocks at the Mining Co. While leisurely strolling the park you’ll appreciate the restoration, new restaurants & pub, Gingerbread Bakery, Kingle’s Coffee House, and especially K’s Kandyshoppe & Creamery. Lastly of course, visit Santa House, Santa’s Workshop and deliver your wish list at the North Pole Post Office. Every activity is FREE with admission. Including the ice skating, skates, even the bag of sand with rocks at the Mining Co. and shoes for climbing the tower or bouldering. Most all of what Santa’s Village originally had to offer in the 50’s is restored and better. So should you go or not? We went opening weekend, so not every new attraction that Skypark will soon have to offer was open like the bouldering room, climbing tower, and Dump Truck (which is awesome to look at by the way) that will tower of swings and slides. If you’re expecting tons of rides or wanting to experience some of Skyparks new attractions like the Zipline, Archery, Bungee Blitz, Sky Pedal Monorail, Bike Park and Strider Balance Bike Trail, . . .then WAIT! Call or visit their website www.skyparksantasvillage.com to find out what’s open. Did our kids have fun? Yes they did and in fact, they didn’t even ask about rides. Skypark at Santa’s Village is about outdoor adventure. Self-powered activities to get you moving and having old fashion fun like riding a bike, hiking the surround trails, camping and fishing that will available 2017. Even the old Bumble Bee Monorail will be replaced with a pedaling system. How cool is that! In all we were satisfied and it was good family fun! We are bummed that we didn’t get to see Santa, but that was our fault and waited to long. He had a parade to lead and we had to go. But we look forward to the new activities and are excited that there is something else to do while in Arrowhead this Summer.
