Forest guards, aka beat guards, regularly check the condition of camera traps fitted on identified tiger tracks. Memory cards and batteries are replaced on a weekly basis, and data is collated at the divisional office of the tiger reseve. Thereafter, data from all beats in a tiger reserve is shared with the Wildlife Institute of India.
