Monette Moore (b. 5-19-1902 d. 10-21-1962) was an American jazz and classic female blues singer. Recorded for the Paramount label 1923-24. Recorded with Charlie Johnson 1927-28. From 1923-27 she recorded 44sides , some under the name Susie Smith. She recorded with Fats Waller 1932. Started her own night club Monette's Place in NYC 1933. In 1942 she moved to Los Angeles and performed in night clubs and films. She reorded again in 1945-47. Monette's last performances were at the Disneyland 1961-62.
