Shy are a British metal band from Birmingham, England that was formed in 1980 by vocalist Tony Mills, guitarist Steve Harris (guitars) (not the Iron Maiden bass player), keyboardist Paddy McKenna, bassist Mark Badrick and drummer Alan Kelly. The band was formally known as Trojan before changing their name to Shy. The band released their debut album "Once Bitten...Twice" in 1983 and received positive reviews. A line up change saw Mark Badrick being replaced bassist Roy Davies, formally of the band Trouble. 1985 saw the band move to RCA Records where they would release their sophomore album "Brave the Storm". Mills left Shy in 2006 to go and sing in the Norwegian rock band T.N.T. Steve Harris died of a brain tumor in October 2011.
