In many of my videos, there is an underlying theme emphasizing the need to work on our self-esteem and well-being. But self-care, as it pertains to being a follower of Christ, is not talked about, almost like it is taboo. There are worship songs that speak of giving our self away to be used by God, telling the Lord yes, etc., but in particular with our walk with God, we can make the mistake of zoning in on self-denial thinking self-care isn’t important to Him. Self-care is essential to God and needs to be something you actively plan, rather than something that just happens.    In this video, I point out some misconceptions about self-care in Christiandom, signs that you are neglecting your, self-care and finally provide tips that will help you jumpstart your own self-care routine.
