This became the signature sound for freestyle music and later for house. No actual records were sampled. All sounds are from the 808, except the synth drum solos played on the ribbon controller. I noticed that some of the tracks actually used LinnDrum kicks *. Only the SX's internal effects and synthesis were used. All tracks recreated by ear.
