head for the hills Scotland's video: A night at Suardalan bothy in the Scottish Highlands

@A night at Suardalan bothy in the Scottish Highlands
I spent the night at Suardalan bothy before continuing with the Scottish National Trail. The walk in to the bothy was horrendous... hilly, boggy, rough terrain and I was constantly under attack by evil biting flying things that wanted to live in my hair. It's locations like this where you would only want to visit once, but otherwise an excellent clean, dry bothy with an excellent sleeping platform. A peaceful, relaxing evening, somebody left some wood so I was able to get the fire going and socks dried out, there was even some free food left behind! Bothy advice: If you are visiting a bothy folks, remember and take out your rubbish when you leave, there is no cleaner on duty!
